The R14 was a clarinet with 17 keys and 7 rings which was a clarinet with the Eb lever + a ring for the third finger to facilitate the G# passages. The R16 was a 19 key 7 Rings clarinet articulated G#, + Eb lever and Forked Bb. The R16 3/4 was a 20 keys 7 rings clarinet With all the feature from the R16 + low Eb key.I did have a french stencil clarinet that only had logo on the top joint and that was barely visible. The shape of the thrill key guide on the upper joint (which I circled in blue) is different compared to pre-R13 Buffets. The 10s is a 'real' Selmer. Compared to the CT, the 10s has a more centered tone and improved intonation. However the bore size is middle of the road and that makes the 10s not that 'special' anymore compared to the older larger bore Selmers.To check the top pad (as a function of the bridge key), twist the bottom joint clockwise until the bridge keys do not meet and try those notes again.
